The thumbs feature was changed a while ago. Ever noticed how you now never see any posts with a negative rating? That's because it only shows the net result only in the positive.
For example, if there were 20 thumbs up and 18 thumbs down, then all we would see is the net result of 2 thumbs up.
If there were 20 thumbs up and 20 (or more) thumbs down, that would result in no rating shown.
That's why doing a poll with the thumbs system is useless.
