I'm no rail expert, but I can't see how a single line with side tracks can cater for numerous mines, cocoa and coffee transit, tourism, etc.
Too many trains on the 1 line even with sidetracks.
A single line doesn't give you the N-1 contingency. All good systems need an N-1 setup, such that if you loose the operation of 1 part it can still operate to expectations.
A single rail line wouldn't cater for down time due to maintenance, etc.
I still like my idea of the slurry first, and then the rail second.
Cheers,
Butchy.
