@im2018The link above is for one of GQG's many funds (approximately 10). The FUM for that particular fund is $A854M (approximately 0.7% of GQG total FUM). This one fund has 11% invested in Brazilian and Russian assets. It also has 26.8% invested in financials and energy assets. You would need to review the others to get a more holistic picture.
To your point on comparison to MFG, you are right, GQG and MFG are chalk and cheese. GQG investment analysts have a broader market lens, they look for opportunities and have the experience to invest broadly across global markets.
This has reflected in performance for the last year too. GQG 16% in the last year for this strategy and 20%+ for its main portfolios. MFG only had a 10% return.
Yes, I own PAC shares and hopefully will pick up some GQG shares at a cheap enough value pre-IPO to hitch a ride on its upcoming growth at a reasonable price. It has contributed significantly to PAC FUM growth over the last four years.
