Not even Turnbull and Hockey support the claims made in your post about the impact of the stimulus. They are now going to great pains acknowledging its impact and say they are only querying its construction and its extent. The reality is that business/industry groups, the OECD and the Reserve bank all attest to the success of the stimulus packages to avert recession. It is not disputed by any reputable source that without the stimulus instead of the modest growth we have, we would be in recession and confidence would be crushed and there would have been an additional 200000 people out of work. Even a jackass would realise the stimulus has helped the economy and will continue to do so.

So for your post that is basically based on bull dust to be currently at the top of the ratings on the politics thread indicates to me that Daves claim of the possibility of liberal party stooges doing their ratings deed could be the case. The fact that in general the Rudd government is powering along in perception across the electorate including acknowledgements from industry groups tells the real story rather than the fiction put up by some of the entrenched liberal party hacks.
