I called ISX today to get the link to the court case tomorrow and, in the process, asked for an update. During the conversation, I learned that someone at the AFR has asked for an unredacted version of JK's appeal statement. AFR says that there is a public interest in knowing the identities of the other shareholders in iSignthis BVI and that shareholders should be fully informed of the contents of Mr. Karantzis' appeal statement in the light of the upcoming demerger vote.

Really!? I personally am really skeptical of just who this “public interest” is. I doubt it is shareholders.

The AFR and the ASX has a great talent for twisting the facts to make it look as if shareholders are really unhappy with ISX. This is one such effort. Consider the statement in ASX's defence that references Gaden’s alleged shareholder class action against ISX. ASX does not mention that Gadens couldn’t get a sufficient number of ISX shareholders to participate and so called it off. Also, what about the "complaints" ASX said in the interlocutory proceedings that they received from ISX shareholders. ASX neglected to mention how many were against ASX, not ISX - which I would be willing to wager were more about the former rather than the latter. And finally, when mentioning posts on hot copper, ASX moaned "poor me" but did not make it clear that Hot Copper posters, by and large, are well and truly suspicious of ASX's motives and management of ASX's investigation into ISX.

Although I am curious regarding the redacted information, I definitely do not feel a need to know. I trust that the law will deal with this issue appropriately.

I also asked ISX why Redx was eliminated from voting if it is not a related entity and was told that it was done to "To take away any suggestion that JK has influenced the vote".

It appears to me that ISX is attempting to make it very clear to ASX and ASIC and anyone else who is interested, exactly how ISX shareholders feel about the demerger by removing any distracting question about the validity of the vote by shareholders.

Well done ISX. Well done JK. Don't let the b@$!@(d$ get you down!
