You can invest how you want, but know fully what you are investing in.
This NPI operation is shied away from in the Aust Ni industry, even MurrinMurrin of Glencore NPI was treated the same way back in the 90s, with utter disdain & rejection. Look what happened there to aussie holders.
The chinese dont care about you little guys, this is all about them getting cheap nasty dirty Ni to bring back to China & making the dump there in Indo. Look at New Caledonia & Bougainville. Similar.
The chinese investment in Indonesian Ni refining and milling is & will be a nightmare imho.
History is a guide.
But sure to take the money and run before it catches up with you.
