Apologies if not strictly business related, we had a Sami woman artist ( Mai-Lis, cant remember her surname) stay at our house about 10 years ago. She told us all about yoiking, a weird kind of singing, amazingly different. Anyway, she told us about her home town was Kiruna, this is 75 km from Vittangi. Big mining town. She said that because of the massive amount of mining, they had to actually relocate the entire town to another location, and that it had devastated their community. Subsidence. I can understand if they are untrusting of mining, but they also probably want the work. Any way fast forward to 2 years ago, i passed through Kiruna on a train, coming back to Estonia from a holiday in Lofoten. The train stopped for 10 minutes at the station, i was remebering her and her stories and art and jokes. It was autumn, very cold and snowy at that time, not very inviting. Big fog. Freezing. So fast forward and a couple months ago i find myself buying shares in Talga, looked up the mine locations on the map etc, and there you go, just down the road. I trust Talga can do the right thing. Im banking on it.
