    i'll keep it simple.

    IMHO

you ought always balance a position, with its risk.

And ought never put all ones eggs in one basket.

I dont know what else you hold, so your question is relative.

If your FAR occupies 1% of your portfolio, i might be inclined to say, why not?

If you are all FAR, i would say, definitely no.

If FAR will succeed, your 500k at 8.6c ought do you well an any regard, and forget about what the current sp is.

If FAR fail to attract another JV and the price either hovers or decends, your dry powder is better spent elsewhere.

So, what time frame do you think it will take FAR to attract another JV partner?

When is the report from Shell due?

    If you already own 500 @ 8.6, then another 250 at 4.9
your new will average at 7.4.

So again if FAR succeed, what will it matter whether you enter at 8.6 or 7.4?

IMO you ought to balance your portfolio as said with risk, and proportion, what are the chances that this will perform better than that, in 1 year? The sum of good decisions hopefully out number the bad.

Without knowing any other details of your investment,

    IMO, No.
