When you say 'takeover Akara' do you mean buy it from Kingsgate or nationalise it without any compensation?
If you mean buy it then the your plan for Thialand would look like this:
Pay out award say -$600M USD
Buy Akara say -$200M USD (land and plant value, why would we give it away for less, the govt may change in future so hold out for decent price, remember we already have $600M in bank when we start negotiations to sell)
Start mining say -$20M startup costs
So basically same position KCN is in now except -800M and don't have any expertise in mining.
If you mean nationalise then we go back to TAFTA complaining about the expropriation of the land. Which would be a completely new expropriation.
Also Thailand can then forget about any new capital inflows ever again.
