That sounds to me like LeoLabs is building something that EOS has had for a couple of decades now. Does somebody want to ask EOS about the apparent unawareness of... everybody!... about their capabilities?
I asked last time when that adaptive optics laser was installed in WA. It's kind of embarrassing to be the one that always asks the question.
In his answer last time Neil Carter from EOS did say that this kind of duplication of research doesn't surprise him when it happens.
But to me it seems like a stupendous (and stupid) waste of research resources.
