My hypothesis (bear in mind this may be based on old info, as it's been a while since I've been on HC)...
I have a vague recollection of 4DS' ReRAM technology being subject to 32 USA patents, which is why 4DS has been very cagey wrt releasing specifics about their tech.
Patent #32 was issued a couple of weeks back.
Assuming that 32 is the correct number, and that the forthcoming technical update doesn't mention anything about additional patents pending, now would be a good time for them to explain how their tech works.
Because of the complexity of the tech, it'll probably take more than a couple of days to write up a clear description. 4DS may have been working on such a document for a while, with the expectation that it would be buttoned up and ready for release by now.
For whatever reason, this document isn't ready yet.
Will be interesting to see what this document says once it's released.
