The basic problem with Sleepcheck direct to consumer is that the customer really doesn't receive any benefit:

1. If you feel like you might have sleep apnoeia then a consumer app is only going to tell you what you already know: you need to see a doctor.
2. When you see the doctor, the doctor is just going to order you to get a sleep apnoeia test anyway.
3. Short story... the app was a waste of time, and a paid app was a waste of money as well.

With a clinically proven sleep test the Sleepcheck app is the sleep apnoeia test. Using it in this setting eliminates the inconvenience and discomfort of the regular test apparatus. And the cost of using the app replaces the cost of equipment hire (for at-home testing) or a night trying to sleep on a wooden plank with wires attached to your whole body.
