My gut feel is

1. 4DS meets HGST and demonstrates/discusses as per last Ann

2. Further testing / analytics and views on future plan / actions formed.

3. 4DS decides to exercise its right to provide a further technical update to its shareholders. One which could, given the content provide a broader appreciation of the nature and capabilities of the tech to a broader audience including competition of WD (potential buyers of 4DS).

4. 4DS prepares a technical update which (checked by IMEC) correctly represents the analysis of the recent PL and NPL and summarises what could come next

5. WD advises that "we'd prefer you didn't"

6. 4DS says, yeah nah, otherwise our shareholders will riot and BTW we are within our rights to initiate an auction for the tech unless you initiate a formal process with us

7. WD goes, let's discuss the "Technical Update". Hence no need to change its name.

8. 4DS advises ASX it requires suspension. A discussion on "technical updates" ensues.
