Maybe this IS the "Targeted acquisition and upgrade of existing brownfield energy and brine infrastructure" for AUD165M which was the big ticket item in the CR. Landau has had a chequered history and has been offloaded by others in the past for not a lot of money.


Another item on the CR shopping list was "Targeted acquisition and refurbishment of exploration equipment" for AUD35M

Planned Geothermal well production in Europe is picking up pace. Some drillers now have forward orders for at least the next 18 months. A bit like trying to get a home reno done at the moment in AU!

I can only see an increase in geothermal production in Europe into the future, especially with forecast tightening in the gas market over the coming Winter. Even if not for Geothermal electricity generation, I am getting a vibe that low grade district heating networks will become the trend . This needs drilling as well. This could play well for increased geothermal approvals rather than being energy vulnerable to Russian gas.

I only see the decision of VUL to acquire their own exploration equipment as astute, and a demonstrated commitment to stick to the timelines of their plan.
