I understand where you're coming from. But, go back and read some of the posts from the May 17 announcement where punters were saying exactly the same thing; "Ireland wants foreign investors, so this will be wrapped up in no time."
But, now this announcement shows that is not the case at all. Rather, the CBI is likely to limit growth across PFS platforms rather than encourage them in an attempt to limit the possibility of exploiting the pre-paid system for organised crime purposes. They don't care about how much investment a company can bring. Their sole interest is to ensure regulations are complied with and enforced.
Investing is about managing risk while at the same time attempting to profit from opportunities as they arise. EML has an enormous upside. On that, we both clearly agree. However, there is still the possibility that another piece of negative news arises from anywhere which could clearly expose that enormous downside. For our sake, I'm optimistic it's not the latter.
