I didn't say my cost base here was $5k. My cost base here is lower than that. Cost base isn't a relevant factor though.

And all money I put into the sharemarket is money I can afford to lose. Doesn't mean I want to. Doesn't mean that I will just accept a write off if there are other options. Where did I say that I couldn't "afford" to lose $5k?

We are all posting on this forum. Saying that my posting is a waste of time, but not yours, or anyone else's, is a weird double-standard.

I also already explained that I am investing in other things. I am researching. I am looking into other options for my investments. Funnily enough, my research on new purchases rarely involves HotCopper. I use HC to discuss existing shares, where I have something to discuss. This debacle is something I've been keen to discuss. Most investments I never post on a forum, because I don't have anything interesting to discuss.
