When interest rates go up then customers will finally have to be charged a tiny bit of interest and share the cost with the merchant. There's an interview with the Humm CEO Rebecca James where she suggests that's what will happen when rates finally do go up. I said "she's dreaming" when I heard it but thinking about it, it may need to happen IF rates go up by a lot. That ain't going to happen for a while.

I can't see them going up that much so I doubt the interest a customer may get charged over 6 weeks will be a big deal overall. Especially on sub 2K amounts and nowhere near what a credit card would charge. Just enough to cover the extra interest cost. Goofella acts like we'll have to start charging customers CC numbers like 20% or go bankrupt.
