Labor has been in power in Victoria 18 of the last 22 years. Your comment about Napthine is laughable unless you thought Napthine in just 4 years was capable of being 4+1/2 times more effective than Labor.

Napthine signed a legal contract for the East West Link project that Andrews ripped up, said it was not worth the paper it was written on and then blew $1.2 billion on compo.
And you know what? It would have been finished by now. But oh no Andrews knew better. His alterbative North East Link will cost 4 times as much and not be completed until about 2030. Andrews is a dud.

Napthine- who out of all the libs was not too bad but like the others took up and got the boot for starting the gravy train contracts for mates the link above is a classic Lib trick and why the majority just do not want their kind running the sow. Signing a contract for one of the gems of the peninsula three days before care taker mode- and have a look at who got the contract!

Politicians in Australia get well paid when they are in opposition, the liberal party platform is to represent the conservative class in Vic, so if they don't do their job why should they be paid

There was a study some time ago which proved that political parties never WON an election, they got in because the other party actively lost

There is one attitude that I respect about the Labor party -- they do get things done due to borrowing as much money as needed and they totally ignore the law.
The rail crossings, who supplied the money and at what cost, they were beautifully built, built in record time, and disregarded anyone in the way so the bill collector will come along at some stage and Andrews name will be mud
Once again that is why there is an opposition --- they should have found out and told the people

I am not so sure Andrews will go he may have had enough and will step aside for Merino but I still think he would win the next election despite the murdoch media and the hate job, purely because the vic libs are no where and now tainted by the LNP fed train wreck- many are thinking the low level muppetry from the factional BS the ALP are into is preferable to the incompetent s**tshow the LNP have dished up trashing the economy and Australias international reputation on a weekly basis!
The 11th hour greenwash attempt and the wheeling and dealing rorts that will arise from this next multi billion dollar debacle is but the latest chapter in what has got to be one of the most appallingly inept govt in our history!
