I am sorry to disappoint, but when R&D institutions find a novel way for TCDM (new catalyst, different circumstances) resulting in a novel carbon product, this does not belong to the IP of our friends at HZR. If it would, it would kill R&D world wide. Unless the R&D is funded by HZR.
Keep an eye on the work of professor Yuan Chen and the Ph.D.'s he has in his group. There is a lot of magic happening.
Andrew Cornejo hinted at it in a interview last year i believe. "Energy conservation". Chen's group is currently working on the fundamentals of Zinc based batteries. This might go in the direction of grid stabilisation. They have published as well on graphene layers ( "Foldable and scrollable graphene paper with tuned interlayer spacing as high areal capacity anodes for sodium-ion batteries").
Currently their eye is on the application of the known byproduct.
