I agree with what you have said but I do not see SNN as a competitor to CNN the way in which Brainchip has designed AKIDA technology.

Brainchip has given AKIDA onboard Convolution (CNN) and a CNN2SNN converter so you can take your existing deep learning (training) CNN models bring them into AKIDA CNN and convert them to SNN and take advantage of all that SNN has to offer.

The analogy I think about is the supercharger. You take a four cylinder motor bolt on a supercharger and you get the performance of a six with the economy and weight advantage of a four. You do not give up the car you know you make it exponentially better.

This is what AKIDA permits you keep all your existing technology and make it exponentially better.
