That is i guess why it is a good idea to read up about what is going on with a company before you hit the buy button and be aware of the T3 implications.
Lots of companies do things this way to reward the long term holders. Not the only one that has done it this year like this.
Also the previous SPP uptakers can only apply for this SPP less the amount they purchased in the earlier one so they donot get a full whack. So if you took up 10grands worth last time you can only apply for a max 5 this time around.
Yes the scale back willbe a dissapointment.........
But they do have the option to increase.
from the announcment
The directors of the Company reserve the right to increase the maximum number of New Shares being offered under the SPP upon an assessment of the response to the SPP as at
the closing date of the SPP. Shareholder approval at RNG's upcoming EGM will not be sought for any issue of New Shares under the increased cap. Therefore, any such issue will be made under RNG's 15% limit under ASX Listing Rule 7.1. If the total number of New Shares applied for exceeds the number on offer and the directors of the Company do not
exercise their right to increase the maximum number of New Shares being offered, individual applications will be scaled back pro-rata based on the number of New Shares for
which application is made.
