Well considering that that part of the world is very very dry, the effect of the wet season may not be significant. Also consider that a lot of rain in the tropics occurs after Xmas some as a result of cyclones which would have limited effect on Georgina.
As for taking his word it would be both foolish and fatal in his new role to make unachievable predictions. No doubt NB will be watching and monitoring progress very closely.
