Marketmakers dont hold positions on their book for that long.
The duration is seconds at most
Couple of other points:
- Published short interest is about 32m in the US. Thats only $300k
- If they're short and trying to buy it back in Aus, why arent they bidding up the stock?
- As someone who as tried to convert AXP to AUNXF, lets just say cost is prohibitive so nobody's doing that arb.
