Well they did say possible Ni-Cu-PGE to the south of Mt Dove GBGirl.

Given that nickel is strongly associated with Archaean crust that has been intruded by large ultramafic bodies of say the granites that formed Mt Dove, there is a definite possibility of some interesting ore development going on in that region. Especially as deep crustal shears do extend along the southern extent of the Mt Dove dome structure. Have actually been wondering if any Nickel was ever likely on the DEG exploration leases as we have already found plenty of zinc and traces of copper in the eastern blocks on the shear zones. And there's been some nickel finds at Radio Hill.

While I'd be happy to keep on finding plenty of gold at the current rate for a few more years, a little Nickel discovery on the scale of Noril’sk in Russia would be quite nice as well. Years ago I spoke the then MD of DEG in its earlier incarnation when drilling Tabba Tabba and similar VMS shear-zone mineralised deposits. He was convinced that they had found what would be economic VMS deposits for zinc at least if they could only find a mid-cap to help with all the drilling necessary to prove up an economic deposit. Seems to me that DEG is now in the mid-cap space, and one day, when the gold lust subsides, we may raise the funding get back to the VMS and lithium plays as well. By then DEG will have enough birds to cover the alphabet twice over. Maybe its happening already? that's why we now have two G-birds?
