This is absolutely wrong.

Advent Energy has done everything asked of NOPTA and a reccomdeation has been made by NOPTA.

This is why it has actually proceeded past NOPTA and now to the Joint Authority Decision stage.

The simple fact of a predicent has been set makes this IMHO impossible to reject as this puts Australia's regulation process in jeopardy.

You forget or maybe have no knowledge that PEP11 has been approved to drill with 3D seismic survey right now!!!

A minority group objected the 3D seismic testing claiming it affect's ocean wildlife.

Advent then applied to NOPTA to drill on 2D seismic testing alone. Which has actually been done safely in Australia before.

So we have PEP11 which has been safely drilled before and this method which has safely been drilled before too.

You know what is funny too - Zali Steggalls "Offshore Petroleum and Greenhouse Gas Storage Amendment (Stopping PEP11) Bill 2021" confirms Advent Energy has applied for Greenhouse gas storage. This has not been announced by Advent Energy yet either.

In my honest opinion this will be approved.

PEP11 is ideally placed next to heavy industries which can sequester carbon and also supply gas to the east coast market.

PEP11 is ideally placed next to a gas pipeline that runs from Sydney to Newcastle and beyond.

Did you know the University of Newcastle research associates (TUNDRA) were given a multi million dollar grant to produce a direct air carbon capture and use demonstration plant which that plan to place onsite at Kooragang once commercialized?

Oh yeah and someone also has a FOI application pending too.
