Most of the volume last Friday was from significant late buying just prior to the close which drove the SP up 75c. However the SP has been driven down by shorts - 1,156,833 shares were shorted in the 5 days since it toped out over $11 – over A$10m in shorts.
Some may have covered already but can you imagine what will happen to the share price if they have to cover quickly during an upward swing resulting from some good drilling results? Especially considering it is twice the average daily turnover on a sparsely offered stock.
