Hi Cyberio, it has helped me in the past to place a small order and adjust when the announcment comes out. It works well from both sides of buying and selling.
1. it gives cash flow while waiting.
2. It gets you a place in the line of orders without disclosing how many shares you want to offload.

The other side of the one share is people buying 1000 and selling 999 as then they remain a shareholder and recieve correspondance. Saying that it isnt a tradable parcel once you do that.
