I was in my mid 20s when I started just out of uni and was on this forum in 1999-2000
I was invested in dot com stocks as some posters here back then had some pull... Budfox - Tony Locantro was only one of a handful of them I turned $25k into $600k. When bullish posters were calling for a new paradigm few months later the market crashed. Market depth was to be believed - it was really a race to the bottom. That $600k turned into $150k in like a week and walked out with $120k. Now I see the same arguments of a new paradigm - I'm like ummm no - a very decent pull back back to historical average and below may not happen next week or next month or next year - but it will happen. GFC crash was just as intense. Covid crash was nothing compared to these two and time is ticking.
