but yes, Covid certainly has impacted the roll out of BTM but this is going to wane as an issue and quicker than people realise

I read an interesting article from an Oxford professor of philosophical epidemiology (no, I didn't know it was a thing either)...
what she said was that we all need to get vaccinated so that on a population basis we achieve 90% double vaccinated, we then need to give booster shots to those who are immunocompromised
and then we basically have to catch the virus
this because only by catching the virus will we, as individuals develop long term immunity, and we as a population develop herd immunity
the alternative would be to keep vaccinating everyone on a 6-12 monthly basis, with the inevitable reduction in vaccination rates as time passed

fortunately her proposal is not as drastic as it seems because the risk of becoming severely unwell after being double vaccinated is markedly reduced and also because Merck have recently developed an oral antiviral which halves the hospitalisation rate in those who do still get sick

so what this means for PNV is that over the next 6-12 months the impact of Covid on the roll out of BTM will become less and less..
