I don't think size matters in relation to generating capacity for the pre-production burn ... it is a perception thing ... even if it was just enough to power up the Kingaroy facility for the duration of the burn it would be solid public relations imo.
Hey, at night we could have "COUGAR ENERGY ... the new power in Australian Energy" up in our own self powered neon lights rofl.
On another light note, I didn't hear anything about Peter Bond over at LNC driving around in a vehicle powered by syngas derived diesel during any of the many gasifier trials they have commissioned over the last 14 months or so 8))
Back to the real business ... today's announcement.
To me it shows:
# continued strategic thinking ... it takes years (but not a lot of money) to have the distribution infrastructure in place for a 400MW (or more?) power station ... all the better if they can "engage" with such a group from an early stage imo.
# they are committing to a bank guarantee to get the incoming infrastructure in place for electricity supply for life of project ... that putting someone's you know what on the block imo.
# even considering the potential for some form of off take (commercial or not) during the pre-production trial represents a change of mindset ... imo, it will be something for investors, analysts, financiers and interested others to focus on even if it has no material impact on planning, funding and constructing for a 200MW stage 1 power station.
And on a final lighter note I nearly had a heart attack today ... I forgot about a sell order I had in place for about a month now on a trading parcel of CXY ... the broker rang me just after market open to tell me excitedly about the sale at 11.5c ... say what??!! I coughed ... ended up getting them back at 11c and have a cheque for a few $k's winging it's way to me as compensation for a shortened lifespan ... my first accidental profit 8))
Cheers
