Agree with you we have been so conditioned to expect the smash that follows a rally in price, that I think it has become a self fulfilling prophecy... However pretty soon the short sellers are going to be so overwhelmed by the POS they will pay anything to cover and that will push the price to new highs. Look all around the price of Everything has risen so much Silver has some big catching up to do. $100 Silver seems impossible until it isn't
