It is nonsensical to apply blanket restrictions to a massively stratified risk scenario.
There is zero sense in restricting contact between healthy low-risk people.
Focussed protection is about applying protections to those who NEED it, not everyone.
It is not about “locking up” the vulnerable.
It is about protecting them via a range of measures, but not applying those measures to everyone, when most people are NOT helped at all by such measures. In fact, many measures restricting movement etc are ultimately very harmful.
If you somehow think that stopping everyone from interacting because sick grandma might die, is somehow reasonable or scientific, then you are living in fantasy land imo.
There is virtually no issue with “letting it rip” through healthy younger people. Most will not even know they got it, many will have only minor symptoms, and a VERY tiny fraction may die. Nothing new compared to any other “deadly” disease.
This is how herd immunity develops, not through leaky vaccines where we draw out the fear for years, and live in a state of never ending “control measures”. No thanks.
...and, guess what, all those recovered people can then interact with grandma, because they are immune and have virtually zero chance of giving grandma anything.
But no, keep everyone as a “potential threat” and scared of each other... and drag it out for years.
Oh, and ignore natural immunity too, and keep telling everyone that their “only protection” is to get jabbed...? Coz science.

Btw can you imagine the widespread fear that would ensue if cancer stats and deaths were shown on the TV every damn hour? Kids dying every day etc etc ...? Those numbers are far more “scary” than covid stats. But, there’s nothing to sell to “protect everyone”, so they don’t bother.

There are many places where Coronavirus ripped through and result was nothing like what you talk about.
There is no need for positing the outcomes based on assumptions: there are actual examples of the effects of just letting it rip and herd immunity.
