I think the extra value add you mentioned that comes with having an established global aluminium major as your JV partner is currently overlooked. It's an intangible whereas the drawn out, phased development schedule is there for all to see. Again, the development timeframe stretches beyond the increasingly short investment timeframe of the average retail investor.

I remain a comfortable holder however will have more faith in the partnership after the timely completion of phase 1.

As many others have mentioned, partnership with Alcoa affords the JV so much intangible value. Technical expertise, industry clout, offtake market outreach, US equity market exposure and perhaps most importantly, a far less draining pathway through the debt funding process.
