    Producers - even the cashed up ones - might take a hit as well if the ETFs start exiting from gold en masse. I still tend to think that gold will take a hit if the dow does and is still trading on the reflation trade. Although the zeitgeist around here seems to be that most disagree with that.

    Evans hasn't entirely made his case though. Remember he was saying that Eastern Europe was about to crash and burn taking western european banks with it? Notice how silent he's gone on this now.

    So now the bears are focusing on the end of the stimulus - cash for clunkers programs n whatnot. We'll have to wait and see what happens.

    A bear a like reading is Rosenberg. He at least runs through what he got right and what he didn't. So you get a sense that he's tracking the significance of his data points as he goes along. Not so sure about Evans.
