This board must be very desperate to hang onto the income from their board seats if they are wasting shareholders money to call them and spin a completely false story.
Christmas trading would NOT in any way be affected by shareholders voting for a spill resolution. Another meeting would be held within 90 Days, that involves the legal and corporate administration of the company not store staff or back office support staff. If you are being told that sales would be affected then you are being told a fairytale!
To me it sounds like there should be a spill and the 42,985 shareholders get to vote fairly for a new board. The old board can run again and Solomon Lew can put up his nominations and it can be decided which of those running are best for the future. It is interesting that the new Chairman plus D.Whittle have been directors during the period pre Covid when the company lost so much of its value and racked up hundreds of millions in losses but they think they should be rewarded by staying on and getting their fat pay checks.
Also interesting is the increase in John King's pay packet. Vote against the all the resolutions, bring on the spill which in no way will affect people shopping or not shopping at MYR and resolve this finally. Hopefully we will get a better mix and better directors to really turn MYR around because it's not actually been that great an effort so far.
