Excellent to see the diverse opinions floated here and a few more joining the voices sceptical of a steadily increasing SP without hiccup.
Not many (are there any at all?) shares that do not fluctuate wildly, and even for no apparent reason sometimes - although reasons tend to become apparent after the facxt!
Remember when property was supposed to; 'never go down'.
Being a long in VPG is fine and IMO will be a VERY profitable strategy, but to suggest (in hope more than with any logical foundation) that it cannot re-trace from time to time is foolhardy.
As I and others have pointed out, some large holders will be keen to realise some or all profits on their positions - that does not mean they will not re-establish or reinforce their positions again later.
Anything can happen and nothing is impossible.
Cheers and good luck to all with your decisions.
