"Watchdog tells ASX to lift its game"
Tuesday's Australian.....last couple of paragraph's are interesting, especially penultimate .
" The regulator [ASIC] also identified areas of market surveillence that could be improved, including the more frequent use of insider lists supplied by listed entities, which list employees in posession of insider information.
ASIC also expressed concern that ALGORITHMIC trading and direct market trades-methods of automating and speeding up trades-were increasing on the ASX and said there was potential for these mechanisms to threaten the orderliness of the market.
The ASX already started a review in this area. '
Maybe all those emails 'Hotcopperites' have sent to Damien Lismore and the ASIC haven't been in vain after all!
