This is pretty silly though, it uses irrelevant assumptions. Whether they are correct or not, no one who is trading thinks they can only achieve the same returns each year as a long term investor. The whole point of trading is to achieve significantly higher gains than sitting around leaving your investment 100% untouched for 10 years.
