I believe you are wrong, unless you intend that mom and pop accumulate indirectly through their ETF's and mutual funds. Sorry, but the ONLY way this stock appreciates significantly is through intense and continuous buying by investment companies, mutual funds, and ETF's.
I worked for a company for many years which had a wonderful retirement plan with a number of investment options. One was a self directed option
in which the employee could buy stocks of his or her choosing. I NEVER met a person who chose this one. Most everyone dumped their contributions into their index tracking fund of choice.
So, in conclusion, the ONLY way this stock appreciates significantly is through institutional buying. Then and only then will all of us moms and pops enjoy the rewards of a much higher stock price..... riding along on the coat tails of that institutional buying.
