Regarding your previous comments Dylboss & those of Tony Barber:
The SMSF is a long-term investor (so far some 16+ yrs), not a speculator
1-we defined the Fund's goal (e.g. create sufficient funds for a comfortable retirement)
2-worked out return(s) needed to achieve the goal,
3- set asset allocations to achieve the return required,
4-selected appropriate investments
5-manage the above.
Our long term Investment in NEU has a target ROI. The SP & liquidity are far below our target.
You comment on Bitcoin. We could not have 'invested in Bitcoin 16 years ago ' as you put it . Bitcoin was first on the market around July 2010.
Speculation in Bitcoin is not compatible with the Fund's objectives. Whatever you invest in is of no concern or interest to the Fund.
