Your right about what you posted, it is your opinion and not fact.
I suspect you are correct about point 1, because if a deal had been made SDL would probably be north of 50c.
In regards to China turning away. Do you actually believe that China want to continue being locked in to BHP, RIO, etc. or do you think they would prefer a cheaper long term alternative?
China is the manufacturing centre of the world. They need iron ore, a lot of it, and at the lowest price possible. This is where SDL slots into the equation.
What do you care anyway, you don't hold any shares in SDL.
