but in the past when they did fly to some dodgy destinations they still had an excellent safety record .
A minute on Google shows that is absolute nonsense. There are also dozens of major incidents in the jet age. It was also pure luck that QF17 (2010) and QF1 (2000) had no fatalities. They were potentially two of the worst aviation disasters in history.
