My guess is that the whole story isnt out yet... there will be spin from many different angles.

Just let it play out and see how the information flow develops.

There will likely be efforts from both sides to move away from the blame and horror of the targetting of the children and the death of so many children as it might makes the positions on all sides too inflexible.

There is a 40 days mourning period it seems before the family revenge cycle starts. I would guess that there will be quite a lot of effort underway during that time to prevent a broad outbreak of uncontrollable and escalating violence after this time.
