Agree that there is no way to tell.
Although I do wonder if the share consolidation is a move that allows for merget possibilities in the future. For instance, if Orcon-2D merge then it may be easier for Sky do a merger by purchasing Orcon-2D by issuing shares.
Or some other merger possibility that Sky can exploit when they have lifted the SP. Would be messy to try and do that with 1.75B shares outstanding.
Or maybe they just wanted to get Sky out of the 'penny dreadful' category and that is as far as their thinking has gone.
No way to know.
