Hi Dunny.
I think the reason some people are buying the physical is that there is talk that comex cannot cover their shorts. It has been talked about on various places that China is capable of blowing comex away.
If that is true, and I am not sure it is, then paper ETF's are just that....paper. There is also talk of double or triple counting of bar serial numbers. If called in they say there could be trouble, again not sure of accuracy. Apparently the CTFC is looking into it...again.

Ted Butler and GATA are always on about this, as well as huge short positions buy a very small number of bullion banks. They say this is pure manipulation and shouldn't be allowed.
Problem is, at this moment it is allowed and that is what matters, not what is right and wrong. It is how it is until changed.
