I don't know if your familiar with the Seinfeld episode centering around a reservation at a Chinese Restaurant. It will probably be a little obscure for you to understand as you come across as a real meat and potatoes guy, but look it up anyway as it sums up the stance of the Greenland Government. To sum it up "It's no good taking the reservation - you also have to keep the reservation."

No mining project goes ahead without investment and financiers demand certainty. In the case of mining it's no good inviting investment and then changing the rules every few years. Companies are not going to put in the hard yards defining a resouce and financiers are not going to stump up the cash. Yes mining companies will look at Greenland but they will also look at the shifting sands of Government and will drop it in the too hard basket.

A case in point is IBG another investment I have in Greenland. They too have a Tier 1 asset and a mining licence but have never been able to secure the necessary finance to get things rolling because of the uncertainty of Greenland politics. They are currently going for an EXIM loan backed by the US Government which is trying to reconnect with the World after your mate Donald Trump was consigned to the dustbin of history. EXIM loans must benefit the US economy either in the purchase of US equipment or supplying materials for US Industry and so it should qualify so if IBG gets funding maybe this is also the blueprint for GGG going forward. I'm sure the US Government will apply the Chinese burn to Greenland if it has something it wants.

Not to get your hopes up though - I don't think they would loan to Tanbreez as you need a little more substance than bravado and a few papers in a filing cabinet drawer to get over the line.
