I guess I'm best to offload my underperforming stocks if I want to invest a little more in Sayona for a short period. However, I'd be in a similar situation regarding the tax side if was planning on then realise these short term gains and holding the previous stocks. Even this is a silly idea, not wanting to invest in a promising stock so you don't have to pay tax.
Still need to get my head around shares and how best to increase equity whilst minimising tax. It would be great if selling out of one stock to invest in another at the same time, didn't incur any tax liability, and the tax liability only arose when cashing out completely.
