It's difficult to say without working in the company but I'm very happy with the following:
1) Share buyback - Indicates they are not just there to build empires and have shareholders in mind;
2) Capital return in tax effective mannor;
3) Successful completion of HRV phase IIa trial;
4) Successful completion of LANI Phase III trials in Asia;
5) GSK increasing Relenza production (I wonder if they would have done this with a threat of a half billion dollar law case against them?)
6) Desire to expand by concentrating of what they do best i.e. early stage drug development
They have expressed many good qualities as managers interested in forming a long term successful company. I do agree with the points many about remuneration, why give them a target that's already been achieved? It should be a target above fair value for stock and I mean fair value not market price. Management should not be rewarded for the fluctuations of the stock market but rather on the intrinsic value... If IV is too hard to measure then use the market price but put something like $10 which is more in line with the potential value of BTA in 6-12 months if management get it right (especially LANI negotiations!!!).
