Let his flesh become fresher than in youth; Let him return to the days of his youthful vigor.’ Job did more than remain loyal to God, he sought help for his tormentors. (Job 42:10) After Job had prayed for his companions, Jehovah removed Job’s tribulation and restored his prosperity. Jehovah gave him double what he had before.

As the story goes, God was the source of Job's suffering...and his 'reward' came at the expense of other lives, which don't seem to count as being important.
