BMW have specifically stated they are NOT using PMM in their BEVs and they have already contracted ZF to the tune of 12Bn euro for their 8th Gen electrified transmission due production next year for all their hybrids.
So that's BS.
If you dig deep, with maybe a little help, you may discover the component manufacturer for ID.3 rotors & stators (the bits that contain the mags) destined to make the 500k PMM's VW is aiming to manufacture domestically has realised they have left it way to late to establish a domestic NdFeB supply chain.
You seriously think a global player like VW would leave it to the last minute to go looking for magnetics???
So that's BS as well.
